Allison Price

Stage Director (sabbatical leave on 2023)

Allison Price (she/they) is a director based in Austin, TX with a focus on works that are intimate and have a bite; with a specialization in new work development, opera, queer performance, and performance exploring the female voice. Allison has her MFA in Directing from Texas State University. Recent credits include Rosencrantz and Guildenstern are Dead, Daddy Long Legs, How I Learned to Drive, What We Scream Underwater When No One Can Hear Us, and All Saints. Directing fellowships include the Kennedy Center MFA Playwrights Intensive and WildWind New Play Lab where she has helped to develop new plays such as P O L A R I S, On Every Link a Heart Does Dangle, and The Book of Mountains and Seas. They have also directed experimental digital works such as A Collective Noise and Conspiracy Play (Less Than Three). International credits include the opera Il Giuoco del Quadriglio and Don Giovanni with the Vocal Academy of Opera. Allison has been awarded the Kennedy Center SDC Directing Fellowship, the WildWind New Play Development Residency, and the Stage Directors and Choreographer's National Directing Award (Kennedy Center), and the Kennedy Center Directing
Fellowship.
