Sarah Horn

VAO Bodrum Co-founder, Faculty Emerita

Sarah holds a B.S. and M.M. in vocal performance from Belmont University and California Baptist University, transitioned from Musical Theatre to opera studies in 2017, and has continued her vocal studies with Fred Carama. Sarah has been featured in operatic performances in Italy, Germany, and Turkey, performing in various concerts and operas. Past roles in VAO seasons are Fiodiligi in Cosi fan tutte and Donna Anna in Don Giovanni. Sarah has worked as the CFO for the past 2 years and has now transitioned to a purely administrative role with the company. Some of her favorite past roles, productions, and experiences are when she played the role of Mrs. Lovett opposite Norman Large in Sondheim’s Sweeney Todd with the Golden State Pops Orchestra in Los Angeles, the role of Martha of Bethany in Rob Gardner’s Lamb of God in Salt Lake City, touring China for a week of solo concerts music directed by Mike Kestler on piano, premiering a new musical in the principal role of Mama Grace in An Extra Penny with Signature Inc. in North Carolina, and singing a duet with Kristin Chenoweth at the Hollywood Bowl in 2013 which produced a viral video on YouTube, a TEDx Talk, and an invitation back to the Hollywood Bowl to sing, MC, and host an event.

Outside of her musical life, Sarah is an accomplished Mindset Coach and certified Trainer of Neuro Linguistic Programming, using cutting edge Integrative Coaching techniques to empower her clients to actuate their leadership potential and overcome emotional barriers to help them bring their goals and potential into living reality. Sarah is a co-founder of VAO Bodrum where she served as CFO, Project Manager, and Guest Lecturer for the 2021 and 2022 seasons.
